Pursuant to Article 18 of the Law on the Establishment of a Deposit Insurance System for Financial Institutions in Kosovo, Law No. 03/L-216 (as amended and supplemented by Article 15 of Law No. 04/L-133), the Selection Commission of the Management Board of the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo (DIFK) on 2nd of May 2019, publishes the following:
Job Re-Advertisement:
Managing Director of the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo, executive member of the Management Board for a five-year term
Required Profile:
- Known for high standard of integrity and reputation;
- Higher professional education in finance, banking or legal affairs;
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in finance, banking or legal matters;
- Minimum five (5) years of management experience
- Knowledge of financial and banking sector and its regulation
- Organizational skills, setting of the objective; annual and strategic planning
- Prioritization skills and work under pressure
- Skills on communication, coordination, cooperation and negotiations
- Knowledge of English language and other languages represents advantage
- Holding no political mandate, currently or in the previous year;
- No prior employment history, as well as, no engagement as executive or member of the Governing Board with any insured institution in Kosovo that receives deposits for at least one (1) year prior to its board membership of DIFK;
- Meets specific eligibility criteria under Article 20, paragraphs 1.1-1.4 of the Law No. 03/L-216.
The Managing Director of DIFK is Chief Operational Officer, employed on full time basis and accountable to the Management Board, with below responsibilities:
- Representing and managing the affairs and activities of the Fund and implementation of Management Board policy decisions
- Making recommendations to the Management Board regarding improvement of the operations of the Fund
- Preparation and proposal of the strategic plan for institutional development of DIFK
- Preparation and proposal of the yearly activity plan and financial plan, including the level of premium assessment against insured institutions and submitting of the annual financial statements
- Preparation and proposal of the annual report of DIFK
- Proposal for aapproval of DIFK’s Investment Policy
- Propose financing arrangements for liquidity needs of DIFK for approval by the Management Board
- Propose DIFK organizational structure and number of staff
- Perform other activities in compliance with this Law, including presentation, on regular basis of the above mentioned tasks to the Management Board
